Motoki Ito

Motoki Ito, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Hokkaido University

Motoki Ito was born in Aichi in 1984. He graduated from Meiji Pharmaceutical University in 2006 and received his Ph.D. from Osaka University in 2011 under the direction of Professor Y. Kita and Professor H. Fujioka. From 2011 to 2013, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Ritsumeikan University with Professor Y. Kita. From 2013, he worked as Assistant Professor at Hokkaido University. His current projects are mainly concerned with (1) enantioselective carbene transformations catalyzed by chiral dirhodium(II) complexes, and (2) total syntheses of bioactive natural compounds.
