昭和31年4月、医学部薬学科の中に衛生化学講座が開設されました（初代教授：赤木満州雄博士）。昭和43年8月、第2代教授として小山次郎博士が就任。平成3年4月、第3代教授として長澤滋治博士が就任。平成13年12月に 第4代教授として松田 正博士が就任し、現在に至ります。

The Department of Hygienic Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Hokkaido University was founded in April 1956 by Dr. Masuo Akagi as its first professor. In August 1968, Dr. Jiro Koyama was assigned as the second professor, and Dr. Shigeharu Nagasawa followed in 1991 as the Department’s third professor. The fourth professor, Dr. Tadashi Matsuda, has been at the Department of Immunology at the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences since December 2001.
